Martha Pozo-Diaz, Esq.

MARTHA POZO-DIAZ is a native of South Florida who resides in Coral Gables, Florida.  She began her legal career after receiving her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Miami, School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Miami.   She focuses her practice in the areas of real estate and business law.

She has extensive experience in residential and commercial real estate transactions including the representation of banking institutions and lenders, home builders and developers, as well as individual clients.  She manages the entire transactional and documentation cycles for buyers and sellers, real estate developers and private and institutional lenders. She represents commercial and private lenders in connection with the structuring of new asset-secured loans and construction financing, the negotiation and preparation of initial loan commitment letters, the review of title on behalf of the lenders, the preparation of loan documentation and the closing of the loan transactions.  She has worked with Lenders regarding due diligence activities, workout and disposition activities.

We have represented a diverse client base in every facet of real estate transactions, contracts and legal matters. Our real estate clients include property owners, property managers, landlords, tenants and lenders, and we counsel and represent them in every aspect of transactional real property law.   Her services include: the acquisition, development and disposition of real property; commercial, office, industrial, restaurant and shopping center lease negotiation and enforcement; mortgage finance and workouts; multi-family and condominium developer representation; title insurance; drafting, negotiation and enforcement of all types of real property contracts and agreements; and commercial & residential landlord tenant disputes.

Ms. Pozo-Diaz was appointed by Coral Gables City Commissioner Ralph Cabrera to the City of Coral Gables Property Advisory Board in June 2005 and completed two terms in May 2009.  She is title agent for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company and Fidelity National Title Insurance Company. Ms. Pozo-Diaz is fluent in Spanish.

Jaime A. Pozo, Esq.

JAIME A. POZO is a native of South Florida and a resident of the City of Coral Gables. In 2010, he joined the firm of Martha Pozo-Diaz, P.A., which was established by his sister in 1991. Upon him joining the firm, it reorganized as Pozo-Diaz & Pozo, P.A. Mr. Pozo joined the firm to diversify its transactional practice and support the needs of its current clients with his extensive litigation experience. Mr. Pozo also continued his practice defending the interest of insurance companies, its insureds and various clients with high self-insured retention in the areas of premises liability, products liability, automobile/fleet/trucking liability, personal injury (defense), construction defects and construction related claims, pre-suit accident investigation, professional liability, ADA and accessibility claims, emergency medicine, workers compensation, including Employer “B” liability claims and co-employment related matters.
Since his admission to the Florida Bar, Mr. Pozo has been trained in handling all aspects of full file responsibility from pre-suit to trial. He has assisted his clients with developing and implementing accident investigation protocols and has conducted hundreds of investigations in both catastrophic and non-catastrophic cases throughout the State of Florida. He has assembled accident investigation teams in all major cities throughout the State and the Southeast United States that are available to respond at any time to any accident. In the past, he was a member of the Litigation Department at Kelley, Kronenberg and was asked by the Managing Partner to make the transition to form Wicker Law Firm, P.A. in 2003. While at Wicker Law Firm, Mr. Pozo managed the firm’s litigation practice throughout the State and developed the firm’s accident investigation team. Mr. Pozo lectures nationally in the areas of fraud, accident investigation, workers compensation, employer liability and litigation practice in Florida.

In 1997, Mr. Pozo obtained a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami. Following his education at the University of Miami, Mr. Pozo attended St. Thomas University School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree with Honors. Mr. Pozo also has served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Linda Dakis and the Honorable Gisella Cardonne-Ely, in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit for Miami-Dade County, Florida. In 2003, Mr. Pozo was appointed to the Dade County Bar Association Judicial Outreach Committee and to the City of Coral Gables Cable Television Board by Commissioner William “Bill” Kerdyk. In 2005, Mr. Pozo completed his term on the Cable Television Board and was appointed to the prestigious Board of Adjustments by Commissioner Rafael “Ralph” Cabrera, where he completed his term in 2009. In 2011, Mr. Pozo was appointed to the City’s Insurance Advisory Board, wherein he served two terms. Mr. Pozo is fluent in Spanish, an important asset to the Firm due to the diverse population of South Florida. He is also a member of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance and the National Retail and Restaurant Defense Association. Ralph A. Suarez, Esq.

RALPH A. SUAREZ was born and raised in the South Florida area and joined Pozo-Diaz & Pozo, P.A., in the fall of 2010. He completed his undergraduate studies at Florida State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Criminology as a member of Lambda Alpha Epsilon, the American Criminal Justice Association.

Mr. Suarez then obtained a Juris Doctor degree from St. Thomas University School of Law. During his time at St. Thomas, he served as Vice President of the Hispanic American Law Society and was recognized for his work as an articles writer by the Women Lawyers Division of the National Bar Association.

Mr. Suarez was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2007 and practices in the areas of insurance defense litigation, with particular emphasis on personal injury; premises liability; construction and design defects; automobile liability; products liability; and negligent security. He has been trained in pre-suit accident investigation and full file responsibility from inception through trial. He joined the firm in order to help serve its expanding client base in all practice areas while providing professional service and achieving positive results. Mr. Suarez is also admitted to practice in the Federal Bar for the Southern District of Florida.

Allan S. Friedman, Esq.

ALLAN S. FRIEDMAN joined Pozo-Diaz & Pozo, P.A, with over thirty years of experience in handling all aspects of litigation from inception through trial. His areas of concentration include personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, negligent security, premise liability, and product liability. He has litigated cases throughout the state of Florida.   Mr. Friedman’s depth of experience has permitted him to achieve successful results at mediations and arbitrations of the most complex litigation resulting in significant reduction of litigation costs for his clients. Although Mr. Friedman has primarily concentrated his area of practice in insurance defense litigation he also brings with him the experience of representing individuals pursuing claims for personal injury and has utilized this experience for the benefit of his client’s in his insurance defense litigation.

Larry S. Kraslow, Esq.

Larry S. Kraslow joined PDP in 2017 and is the managing attorney for our Panama City Beach, FL office. Mr. Kraslow has over 30 years of legal experience in varying areas of law, including insurance defense litigation, tort, automobile liability, negligent security, commercial litigation, and premises liability.

Mr. Kraslow earned his undergraduate degree in Marketing from Hofstra University. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami in 1986. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Kraslow worked in law enforcement, giving him additional insight into legal issues concerning negligent security, premises liability and automobile liability matters.

Orlando Valle, Esq.

ORLANDO VALLE was born in San Leandro, California.  He procured his Bachelor of Science degree from California State University-Stanislaus in Business Administration-Finance.  Thereafter, he earned his Juris Doctorate degree from The Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2001.  After procuring his law degree, he then attended the University of Miami LL.M. program in Inter-American Law.

After completing his academic career, Mr. Valle began his career as a litigation attorney in 2002.  Since that time, he had devoted the bulk of his practice to defending individuals and businesses throughout the State of Florida in multiple types of cases in both federal and state cases.  Consequently, he has been an active member in multiple organizations such as The Florida Defense Lawyers Association (“FDLA”) and  The Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (“CLM”).  In addition, Mr. Valle has lectured claims personnel and company officers and counsel regarding matters related to his practice and those affecting their respective businesses.

Peter A. Miller, Esq.

PETER A. MILLER is of counsel to Pozo-Diaz & Pozo, P.A and has been a trial lawyer since 1975. Mr. Miller is admitted to all District and Appellate Courts in the State of Florida, as well as the United States district courts for the Southern States District and Middle District of Florida. He us also certified as a trial lawyer by the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Mr. Miller specializes in general liability defense, religious organization defense, legal malpractice defense, construction litigation defense, products liability defense, E.E.O.C. defense, employment practices defense, long term lessor liability defense and insurance and bad faith defense.

Mr. Miller is a proud member of the Miami Dade County Bar Association, the Florida Bar, Trail Lawyer’s Section, American Arbitration Association, and is the past chairman of Eagle International Associates, Inc.

Adam Tannen, Esq.

Adam Tannen, Esq. is an Associate in the firm’s Miami office and focused his practice general civil and commercial litigation with an emphasis on insurance related claims. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Central Florida and Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University where he was a recurring member of the Dean’s List.

Prior to joining Pozo-Diaz & Pozo, Mr. Tannen practiced insurance defense for an AM Law 200 firm in personal injury matters, including premises liability, general liability, personal injury protection and class actions. Additionally, Mr. Tannen has extensive experience representing distressed condominium associations and helped prompt House Bill 1237, specifically, criminal penalties for theft or embezzlement of funds of an association.

BRADLY TORREY, ESQ

Bradly Torrey joined Pozo-Diaz & Pozo, P.A in 2021 after practicing for a prominent personal injury law firm in Jacksonville, Florida. His practice is primarily focused on the defense of individuals, businesses, and insurance companies against personal injury and property damage claims. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of West Florida. Before law school, Mr. Torrey served as a staff member for the State Attorney’s Office, 4th Judicial Circuit. Mr. Torrey went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2016. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2017. Mr. Torrey was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida where he currently resides with his wife and son.

DAVID W. GROSSMAN, ESQ

David W. Grossman completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center. David is admitted to the Florida Bar, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, and the Eleventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. David, with over 35 years of experience, has tried in excess of 150 jury trials to verdict throughout Florida, and is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Florida Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has also achieved the rank of Diplomate in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
