After completing his academic studies, Mr. Ziegenhirt began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender at the Leon County Public Defender’s Office in Omaha, Nebraska, moving immediately into the felony trial division.
In 1999 he returned to Miami and began his career in private practice as a litigation associate for the insurance defense firm of O’Connor & Meyers. In 2000, he opened his own firm, Carlos A. Ziegenhirt, P.A., representing defendants charged with violations of state and federal law, as well as defending self-insured corporate clients in the areas of premises liability, automobile/trucking liability, personal injury, construction and commercial litigation, as well as real estate litigation and transaction matters.
In 2023 he joined the firm of Diaz-Pozo & Pozo, P.A. practicing in the area of insurance defense litigation, with an emphasis on personal injury, premises liability, automobile liability and negligent security, handling cases from inception through trial.
